My first blog

EMS News & Blog

One of the things that has been on my list of things to do for ages has been to write a blog.

We have had a blog on our websites for absolutely ages and have tried and tried to keep it updated and packed with interesting tidbits and other information and have of course failed miserably. (www.enterprisemadesimple.co.uk, www.enterpriserevolution.co.uk)

I would say, I have written one blog that has really meant something to me, which was the one about Henry Bolckow. (I'll put it back up if I can find it). Most people have popstars or footballers, actors or great thinkers as hero's, a Victorian industrialist is mine. (Wikipedia him, he's a legend)

Anyway, so when I was thinking about why that was the only blog that I felt held any interest for me< I realised it was that all the others were a bit contrived and written for the business and not for me.

How shocking is that..... me, contrive something to help my business......never!

It's true, so I have decided to blog again. Only this time it may only be intermitently or it may be all of the time, the only thing I am sure of is that from now on I will only blog when I have something to share or say which I feel really interested or motivating saying.

This blog is my opinion, not the companies, not the other peoples in the companies, just mine.

So this is me, these are the things I am interested in and this is my life, personal, professional in all of its glory and drama.

These are the things you should know about me: (this might help you to decide if you want to read anymore of my blogs)

  • I am 37 years old.
  • I am married with two children, aged 5 and 1
  • I live in Middlesbrough
  • I have lived across the UK including in our capital city
  • I am passionate about Enterprise and the difference enterprise can make to peoples life
  • I like to spend time doing stuff with my family.
  • I like to support local businesses and British businesses and designers as much as possible. (however I also love a nip round Tesco's)
  • I think that if we all practised one random act of kindness every day, the world would be a much nicer place to live.
  • I am not a very good speller, so please forgive any typos.

So that's me. Feel free to leave comments message, twitter, facebook, linkedin, whatever.... I would love to hear from you.

Cheers

Phil
